Finding Forgiveness and Hope Through Jesus Christ

Plan of Salvation

Many people believe that there are many ways to Heaven or that everyone will eventually get to Heaven, but they are wrong.  The Bible is very clear that salvation can only come through faith in Jesus Christ.  “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one come to the Father except through me.'” – John 14:6

Here at Moreland Baptist, we desire for all people to come to a saving knowledge of Christ.  Please continue to read below to discover how you can be saved.

     1. Realize and admit that you have sinned.  Sin is anything that you think, say, or do that does not please God or breaks His laws.  The Bible says that all of us have sinned.  “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23.

     2. Because all of us have sinned, we deserve death or eternal separation from God.  “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 6:23

     3. But because God loves us, He sent His Son Jesus, to die on the cross and pay the penalty for our sins. “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8

     4. The only way for us to get to Heaven is by believing in Jesus Christ.  “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9

     5. Once you believe in Jesus, you can have peace and a relationship with Him!  “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” – Romans 5:1  Also, once you have been justified by faith, you will never be condemned for your sins.  “For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels nor rulers, not things present nor things to come, no powers, nor height not depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to seperate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8:38-39

If you believe this, then you are a child of God.  Take time right now to pray (talk to God) and tell Him that you are a sinner and that you believe that He sent His Son to dies on the cross for your sins.  Afterwards, tell your friends and family and rejoice in knowing the truth!
