Hand Bell Choir

Handbell Choirs

MBC has two handbell choirs, started in 2012.  We ring a 3 octave set of bells (33 bells) with 11 ringers.  We currently have 2 choirs: The Agape Ringers, and The Joyful Ringers.

The Agape Ringers Handbell Choir

The Agape Ringers meet each week on Tuesdays at 5:45pm to rehearse.  They ring a variety of music and are busy learning many different handbell techniques, including changing bells.  We have all the spaces in the choir currently filled, but are often looking for substitutes that read music and would be willing to sub for ringers who might be unavailable for a rehearsal or performance.  If you read music, and would like to give it a try, contact Beverly Ingraham, Minister of Worship Arts.

The Joyful Ringers Handbell Choir

The Joyful Ringers Handbell Choir meet each week on Tuesdays at 6:30pm.  This choir is learning to read music and learning a variety of techniques in playing the handbells.  Many in this choir have never been in a musical ensemble before, and find much joy in learning to make music together.  There are openings in this choir.  If you are interested in learning to play handbells, this might be the group for you!  Please contact Beverly Ingraham, Minister of Worship Arts if you are interested in ringing.  She would be glad to give you more information about how you might join this group.
