WHO WE ARE

Many people who attend Moreland Baptist will tell you that this is a friendly church.  It is a church made up of people who are true to themselves, others and to their Lord. The people of Moreland Baptist take the Bible seriously and it is often times lived out in joyful and loving ways.  Moreland has a strong commitment to worship, discipleship, evangelism, missions, Christian fellowship and educating all age groups in the way God would have them go.

Worship is a special time, as God calls the family together for praise, prayer and the message.  Our average worship service attendance is 133.  Our service can be described as blended, yet is enhanced with frequent use of Praise DVDs which are projected on two large screens at the front of the church, dramas and great singing of both old hymns and new contemporary songs.   Our church choir also enhances our worship and we are thankful to those involved in the music ministries.  Part of Moreland's ministries include a strong dedication and devotion to encouraging and training all age groups.  Sunday School classes are offered throughout the year for all ages.

Moreland has also recognized the importance of small cell Bible Studies.  Currently there are various Bible Study groups that meet both at church and in private homes.  These Bible Studies are lay led and contribute to the health and vitality of the church.

The people of Moreland are committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with their families, friends, co-workers, community and the world.  Part of Moreland's ministries include a strong dedication and devotion to encouraging and training our youth and children.  We currently have an AWANA Program for children ages Pre-K to 6th grade, Kingdom youth group for students 7-12th grades.   In the summer, there is a week long Daily Vacation Bible School for the children to attend.  Other ministries include support of the Son Light House, a local food and shelter program; local agencies committed to pro-life  counseling and support of pregnant mothers; Habitat For Humanity and Yoke Fellowship of Pennsylvania.   Our church also participates in the Fellowship of Christian Farmers with the "Walking Stick" ministry at local county fairs, enabling us to witness to many people.
